30 Day Trial Day 15 - Are You In Season?
Today I am reposting a piece of a message I wrote back in 2007. The title was Are you In Season. You can check it out here. This is where I am today.

Are You In Season?
Psalm 1:3
He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Every Season of life is precious. Don't rush any of it!
The word of God is rich. So rich in fact that you can look over the same passage many different times and have new revelations. The only way for our tree to truly thrive we have to be rooted in Christ. We have our parts to play too but one thing we've got to have is our relationship with Christ. He gives us a warning that there will be many, that, at the end that He will not know. There will even be those that used the laws that God created to amass great things. He has even said that there will be those that did great things in His name. However without the relationship all of it is worthless.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' - Matthew 7:21-23It is crazy to amass great things here on earth to then spend your eternity burning. Life is a flicker and just a moment in your eternal life. Will you take the road of least resistance, following the pack? Or will you take the road less traveled?
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. - Matthew 7:13If you would like to know Him. Then talk to Him. If you don't feel that comfortable talking with Him, then get over it. He is not as concerned with your words as he is with your heart. Open your heart and ask Him in. Ask Him to clean you up. Ask Him to always love you. Ask for His forgiveness. Then take off your shoes, let your feet feel the soft soil of His love, and get planted.

Plan Vacations
My awesome wife and I are going down to Houston at the end of August and while she has been handling the family part of the trip I am working on a super secret day/night out for the two of us. Take time to plan in fun. Don't get so bogged down in the day to day that you speed through life without enjoyment.
Say Thanks
I want to thank everyone who is taking part in this challenge. I am learning so much from all of you. Take time out today to thank those who come into your life.
Set Examples
This is one that is near and dear to my heart. Did you know that you are one of two things for those around you? You are either an example or a warning. Be an example today. Just by living your everyday ordinary life you are teaching somebody something. Just taking part in this challenge is showing those around you, whether you realize it or not, that you are willing to invest time in your personal growth. For me I went to the gym today and had one of my teammates, who belongs to the same gym I do, say I am going to come with you and work out.
As for my other trials I did make it to the gym. 400 yards. However I have gain 5 pounds since last week. My eating hasn't been that great. Lots of late night snacking. I bought something to eat after my workout but didn't have enough cash to cover it and had to use the card so no points for that one. That is it for me. Where are you?
