God's Man | Tuesday Reading...

The Outcast @ The Anti-Jared Here, they see a pretty muscular man. It is confusing to them. I do not explain. I give them the Popeye "I am what I am." Most people just look. They think I am a little weird. They are wrong. I am a lot of weird. Who works out when there is free beer? Who eats salad when there is BBQ? Who has apples in his pockets?   I do. God's Man | Decision Making...

So I am reading through a book of scriptures that I got from Dave Ramsey's team called, "God's Word for your Every Need."  The scriptures are organized into categories and it is very quick refresher for me during my work day.  I am starting the section "What to Do When..."  It begins with the passage from Proverbs" Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For through me your days will be many, and years will be added to your life . If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.” Prov 9:9-12 What do you do when you need to make a decision?  Do you rely on your accumulated knowledge?  Do you take time, analyze all the information, weigh the consequences, then do something?  Do you "follow your gut"?  Do you shoot

Happily Ever After   - http://theantijared.blogspot.com/ "When I was losing all the weight, I remember the sizes dropping. I remember the milestone losses. I remember all of the compliments and praises I received. This journey was not about looking in the mirror with self doubt. It was not saying 'I look horrible, I need to lose weight.' I never cared what others thought of me. I always felt like I was dashing. It was not about skinny jeans. It was not about being hot." God's Man | Do. IT. NOW!!!

I have this as my computer's desktop wallpaper. Your Future Self isn't any less likely to stop procrastinating than your Present Self.   Stop trusting the future. Do it now. There is a very good reason why this is on my computer and in my face.  I'll get back to why in a minute.    I love words.  Especially older words that are not used as often.  When my wife and I were still dating she gave me the nickname Thesaurus Man.  Today in light of the reemergence of the word snookered , I have chosen to look at the word Sluggard.  The book of proverbs have several good descriptions of the Sluggard .  The Sluggard is someone who is lazy and does not prepare. Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a

God's Man ¦ Earnestly Praying...

So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. http://read.ly/Acts12.5.NIV Who are you praying for today.  Let's choose today to earnestly pray for those in captivity for the gospel. Strengthen my brothers and sisters today.  In Jesus name surround them with your peace and give them victory over their oppressors. Amen Posted via email from Pulling It All Together
