Are You An Excuse Maker?

If you have ever said, "I can't do it" or made any similar excuse. You have just been checked. 1 Corinthians 1:26-28 (The Message) Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don't see many of "the brightest and the best" among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn't it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these "nobodies" to expose the hollow pretensions of the "somebodies"? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. I wondered while you were asleep. Why do we cry? Why do we weep? Or Lord above has seen it all And if we His children answer His call Don't we have access to His awesome power? He values us above all His flowers. We should not worry, fuss and fight. For death could come this very night. And while we would be in our Lord's Hands, We'd leave the other on sinking sand So let us not get lost in sadness. For the victory is ours and Jesus is our gladness.
