God's Man | A Poor Medium

If you are disgruntled with someone, don't process that with them over email. Email is a poor medium for that type of communication. The same is true for Facebook, blog posts, tumblr, twitter.

For my Christians family see Matthew 18.

"If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. (Matthew 18:15-17 ESV)

If you are unable to clearly articulate your concern face to face then why do you think that email is going to be received any better.

My response will always be to meet face to face. I don't do email well. Even though I am a huge nerd I don't think technology helps us communicate well. It helps you to communicate faster but not smarter or with love.

If you must write something than do it by hand. And deliver it personally. Allow time for questions.

In short learn being in a family means you will disagree. It also means that you work through it because you value that relationship.

I apologize for this long post but my heart is heavy this morning and it has nothing to do with the election but with the elect.

God's Man | Portrait of a Godly Man

Christian Women the world over have looked to Proverbs 31 as a model for Godly Women.   That has always left me with this question.   What is a Godly Man?   In the book of Job we find a man that God called blameless.   During his lament in chapter 29 Job paints a picture of a Godly Man.   It gives us things to focus on as we strive to be men of God.   A Godly Man needs God’s Provision     Job continued his discourse: "How I long for the months gone by, for the days when God watched over me, when his lamp shone upon my head and by his light I walked through darkness!   Oh, for the days when I was in my prime, when God's intimate friendship blessed my house, when the Almighty was still with me and my children were around me, when my path was drenched with cream and the rock poured out for me streams   of olive oil.   – Job 29 1:-6   Even though Job is in the middle of a bitter lament he knows that his entire life was built on the provision of God.   He know
