The Dishes for "Sharing Your Lane"

As we being to share our lane as Christians there are lots of different ways that this is experienced.  There will be different roles that we will play in this sharing.

1. The Coach : Protect, Teach, and Challenge
      Paul/Timothy - 1st and 2nd Timothy - To Timothy my true son in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. (1 Timothy 1:2 NIV84)

      Jesus/Disciples/Rich Young Ruler - A certain ruler asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” (Luke 18:18 NIV84)

2. The Peer : Practice, Connect, Grow
      Paul/Barnabas - They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, (Acts 15:39 NIV84)

      Peter/John - Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” (Acts 3:6 NIV84)

3. The Trainee : Learn, Practice, Grow
      Elijah/Elisha - When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied. (2 Kings 2:9 NIV84)

      Jesus/ Disciples - The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we're going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.” (Luke 8:24, 25 NIV84)

Conclusion for "Sharing Your Lane"

So how did I end up after Sharing?

Sore...

Sharing your lane is hard work.

It can be difficult.

It does not always feel rewarding.

But you know what?  It might now feel that way it always is.

When I prayed with my God-Daughter to receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior it made all the questions worth it.

The 1st time I was able to share the word of God as a minister it made all the years of preparation worth it.

There are people around you that want to share their lane with you.  There are minister's here who would like walk with you.

Most of all there is a God in Heaven who wants to connect with you.

God's Man | Portrait of a Godly Man

Christian Women the world over have looked to Proverbs 31 as a model for Godly Women.   That has always left me with this question.   What is a Godly Man?   In the book of Job we find a man that God called blameless.   During his lament in chapter 29 Job paints a picture of a Godly Man.   It gives us things to focus on as we strive to be men of God.   A Godly Man needs God’s Provision     Job continued his discourse: "How I long for the months gone by, for the days when God watched over me, when his lamp shone upon my head and by his light I walked through darkness!   Oh, for the days when I was in my prime, when God's intimate friendship blessed my house, when the Almighty was still with me and my children were around me, when my path was drenched with cream and the rock poured out for me streams   of olive oil.   – Job 29 1:-6   Even though Job is in the middle of a bitter lament he knows that his entire life was built on the provision of God.   He know
